An anticyclone has been covering the Tasnian Sea and Xew Zealand, but during last night a very slight low pressure wave passed in the south. The . latter was responsible for a few isolated showers in Westlanu and the Foveaux Strait area, but otherwise fine weather has prevailed. Winds have been mostly llßht,1 I southerlies ruling yesterday norlh of Westport and Kalkoura and uorth-easterlies thence rather variable' over the Dominion. FORECAST. Winds.—Variable at first over the North Island, but elsewhere soutlierllcs predominating ] and later becoming fairly general; force light !to moderate. Barometer.—Kising slowly.
