GARAGE HOLD-UP
MONEY STOLEN IN TIN
PRIVATE CAR MISSING

INVEECAEGILL, This Day. A hold-up occurred at. Edendale shortly after 11 o'clock last night, when two men in a motor-ear pulled up at Suckling's garage and asked for petrol. They handed tho assistant a pound-note and followed him into the office, where ho was bailed up with what looked like a sawn-ofE gun. The intruders grabbed a tin containing between &Z and £4 and decamped.
Earlier in the evening a car was stolen from Mr. David Grindlay's residence in Invarcargill, and the description of the car used by the thieves tallies with it except in number.
