Barton, C.M.G., patron of the Wellington Chapter of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries, on Wednesday evening entertained a large gathering of members by delivering an address of exceptional interest on some salient points of the articles of association of companies as defined by the Companies Act, 1033. The meeting was held in the Dominion Farmers' Institute tea rooms and was Presided over by Mr. J. AnnandSmith. Mr. Barton stressed the vital importance to a secretary of a close stndv of the articles of association of a company. Mr F. C. McNeil proposed a heart-/ vote of thanks to Mr. Barton and thfs was carried with acclamation.
