HOMING PIGEON SOCIETY
The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society flew an interval race of ten minutes between each bird's liberation and a teams flodk race limited to two birds per member, bpth birds to be timed in and the average velocity taken from Waiouru, 134 miles airline. The winner of the interval race receives a silver cup, donated by Mr. Barlow Wills. The following are the results:—lnterval race: Dr. Gillies's "Dauntless," 3hr SSmin 53sec; Murphy and Sherwood's "Silver Plane," 4hr Bmin 14« ec; Cannell and Henderson's "Shining Star," ohr 17min 2-lsec; C. Webster and Son's "Rogen Lass," 6hr 19min Bsec; C. Haines's "Lady Bnller." 6hr 26min 22sec. Teams race: C. Haines, 3hr 50min 3osec, 1; Dr. Gillies. 3hr 51min 28sec, 2; Murphy and Sherwood, 3hr S2min 37sec, 3; F. Conper and Son, Slir 55min 3sec, 4; J. Perrett, 4hr 3min 4sec, 5; C. Webster and Son, 4hr llmin 4Ssec, 6; A. Clements, 4hr 54min 3sec, 7; B. Clements, Shr lmin 25sec, 8.
