ANNUAL DANCE
There was a large attendance at Queen Margaret College for the Old Girls' Association's annual dance. The
weather was forgotten when guests found that there were huge fires burning in tho hall and reception rooms, which were decorated with autumntoned chrysanthemums, making a warm and charming welcome. Excellent music was provided, and a very dainty home-made supper was appreciated by all.
The chaperons were- Mrs. AY. H. Nash (in black ring velvet), Mrs. A. H. Johns (blue satin), Miss Irene Wilson (beige lace). The success of the dance was largely duo to the efforts (if the committee, which included Misses Marjorie Nash (pin-tucked royal blue georgette), Janie Turner (almond green lace), Edna Hatch (blue Ottoman cord), Marjorie Shoosmith (floral georgette), and Brenda Boves.
During the evening an exhibition of the waltz and quickstep was given by Miss Gwenethe Walshe (gold -tissue) and Mr. Roy Moore, and Misses Jean Turnbull and Juno Reid gave a delightful tap-dance duo in costunic.
