ELECTION OF OFFfCERS
Mr. O. A, Banner, headmaster of the Lyall Bay School, was elected president
of the New Zealand Educational Insti-
tute today. Miss M. E. Magill (the re-
tiring president), and Mr. A. B. Pordycft (Auckland), who were also nominated
for the position of president, withdrew
from the contest, Mr. Banner being elected unopposed * Mr. G. 3T. Griffiths (Otago and Southland) was elected vice-president, and Mr. C. Robertson ("Wellington) was elected treasurer. The following were elected to the executive: Misses 3?. J. Taylor (Auckland), J. G. Park (Wellington), and Messrs. J. H. M. Finlayson, A. J". Gra-
ham, T. Kane, E. McGlashen (Wellington), W. F. Abel (Dunedin), C. W. Boswell (Auckland), W. C. Cole© (Christchurch), and D. C. Prvor (Palmerston North). ' ■ : ■
