ADMIRAL CAMPBELL FINED

LONDON, April 21

Vice-Admiral Gordon Campbell, 8.N., V.C., M.P., pleaded guilty and was fined 30s (3d and costs hi the Westminster Court on a charge of being drunk and incapable. Tli'o police gave evidence that' ViceAdmiral Campbell -was found lying on the pavement at Knightsbridgo early in the morning. Vice-Admiral Campbell's solicitor said his client had had a sudden heart attack for which .he had taken stimulants.

Vice-Admiral Campbell defeated Mr. Arthur Henderson at the election of 1931.

Vice-Admiral . Gordon Campbell is perhaps best known to New Zealauders as the author of "My Mystery Ships."
