ALPINE CYCLE RACE
RIDER IN BLIZZARD
MELBOURNE, April 22,
While testing the -route of the Alpine Centenary Cycle Race from Harrictvillc to Hotham, Ossie Nicholson was caught in a blizzard and his toes became frozen. He finished the test with his socks soaked in brandy.
Cars had to go ahead to make tracks in tho snow. Nicholson covered 13J miles, climbing 3300 ft in 90 minutes.
