SERIOUS OUTBREAK
REVOLUTION IN BOLIVIA
RESENTMENT OVER CHACO WAR

LIMA (Pom), April 8.
Travellers arriving from Bolivia report that a serious revolution has been in progress for .several days with.casualties running into hundreds. The populace, according to.-reports, is resentful against the Government's disastrous prosecution of the war with Paraguay in the Gran Chaco, which has now continued for two years, with the Bolivian forces rapidly losing ground, and with heavy casualties. The students started an anti-Government movement with army units later joining. The loyal forces bombed the rebels, killing and wounding niany. It is thought tliat the Government has not fallen yet, but the situation is apparently serious.
