(By Telegraph—Press Association;) IXVBKCARGILL, Match 30. A representative cricket match between Otago and-Southland was commenced here today in fine weather. Southland batted ■■'first, and made 16.1 (Maeaia 59, Southern 17, Mitchell 10). For Otago, Dunning took seven wickets' for 58.
Otago had scored 244 for six wicikcts when stumps weic drawn (Cavanach 41, Ditchfield 3S, Uttlcy 48, Dickinson 47, Elmcs 29). Play will be resumed tomorrow.
