have. been completed for the playing of a representative match between the women cricketers of Wanganui and Wellington. The' match is to be played on the Wellington College ground, and it should prove a-strong/attraction for the holidays. Cricket among;women is becoming a very popular pastime, the progress, in fact, being such that international matches between Australia and England are to take place shortly. Organised competition has developed in New Zealand, and this year an interprovincial contest took place in.Wanganui for a shield presented for annual competition." " Wellington was represented by the Technical Coir lege old girls' team, which met Canterbury in the final. The Wellington team to meet Wanganui on the college ground on Saturday will be representative of the various clubs which have. taken up the game here. '
