MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Cases in the Magistrate's Court today were dealt with by Mr. E. Page, S.M. . Ivy Lillian Spencer,.aged 23, a domestic, was remanded until tomorrow on two charges of being an idle and disorderly person and a charge of being a rogue and a vagabond. Bail was allowed in.the sum of £200 and > surety of £200.
Remands for a fortnight were granted to Clarence Richard Patrick Lynch,- aged 38, a seaman', who is charged with obtaining £3 9s from C. Sims by a false pretence, and to Harold Edward McCul|ough, aged 31, a labourer and seaman, who is charged with-obtaining £3 13s 6d from Henrietta Dunne by-a false pretence. Bail was allowed to each. > . •
Arrested last night by Detective Ritchie, two domestics. Margaret Grace Johnston, aged 20, and Florence Catherine George, aged "23. were.-charged with breaking and entering'by' night the • house of ■C. Ab.e Spolsky, in Brooklyn Terrace, and steal-' ing goods and cash of a total value of about £10 Is Cd. ■ They were remanded fora fortnight, bail being allowed to each in the sum of £150 a'ud a surety of a like amount.
