CONDITIONS TOO DRASTIC

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHBISTCHHRCH, This Day. Strong indignation was expressed at a meeting of the Christchurch Bands Contest Committee at the conditions laid down by the New Zealand Brass Bands Association under which the committee could conduct the 1935 bands contest if their application were granted. It was decided after lengthy discussion to make no application. Members said that tho conditions were too drastic. The was asking the committee to run the contests without1 giving them any guarantee of a share in profits. The association was on a good wicket, with no responsibility at all.
