ADELAIDE, March 10. In the South Australian tennis championships, in sweltering heat, V: McGrath won brilliantly from A. K. Quist in the final of the men's championship, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. Fortune in the last set fluctuated till the score was 5-5. Then McGrath won the next two games and the rubber. In the men's doubles final, Turnbull and Schwartz won from Moon and McGrath, 1-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-5, on a forfeit. After the game had reached its highest point of excellence, McGrath, who had had a strenuous day, was forced to forfeit. Turnbull played a very fine game. Crawford and Miss Lemcsurier won the first set against Moon and Miss Griffiths, 8-6, in the final of the mixed doubles. Moon and Miss Griffiths won the second, 7-5. The match was still in progress when darkness compelled an adjournment till Monday.
