SHEEP CLEARED AT FEILDING
; Messrs. Abraham and Williams report on their Feilding sale held on Friday as i follows: —A good yarding of all classes of ! sheep came forward, aud we report a good sale, with practically a total clearance in all departments. Fat sheep and lambs, jf whicii a fair yarding came to , baud, met quite a good sale. Breeding : ewes of quality sold readily. Only odd ; lines of good sorts came to hand, doub'ti ful aged^ lots not being keenly sought after. The lamb section was again well represented. Good, strong, sound lambs . sold well, with a good clearance. A lair ; yarding of fat cattle came to hand, and these sold well. CARTERTON SALE. : Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report:—We held our weekly sale at Carterton on Friday, when we offered a va, ling comprising 1856 sheep, 150 pigs," and several pens of cattle to a good attendance. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Taihape last week, when a good yarding of sheep and a small yarding of cattle came to hand. The competition for all classes of stock was keen, and the demand exceeded the supply. Lambs wertf in short supply, consequently prices firmed considerably. Cattle met with keen competition for all sorts on a hardening market. MANGAWEKA SALE. The New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Distributing Co., Ltd., offered 1500 sheep and 10 head of cattle at last week's Mangaweka sale.
