DANNEVIRKE MEETING (By Telegraph), . (From "Rangatira.") WOODVILLE, This Day. An amount of £40 odd had been invested, on the first race. Refunds of investments and admission charges were made, and patrons generally took the matter philosophically. Horses already scratched and who cannot be reinstated were Remiss, Air Laddie, Whyte Melville, Hunting Jay, West Tor, La Moderne, and Cuticle.

Tho death is reported from Dunedin of Mr. John Mitchell Alexander, aged 61, sub-manager of Mr. P. Hayman and Co. until 1930.
