The "Sydney Morning Herald" says that littlo hope is now entertained of unity being achieved between the United Australia Party aud the United Country Party in the Federal sphere before the next elections. A factor in the Federal outlook is the rival political ambitions of the Premier. (Mr. B. S. B. Both would have strong claims on the leadership if Mr. Lyons decided at any time to retire.
