MOTORING CONTROL
(To the Editor.) Sir,—As a motorist and user of the Hutt Road, twice daily for the past four to five years, I would like to refute the" statement of Mr. Batt in today's "Evening Post" regarding the control of same.; Personally, I think the control these days leaves little to be desired, especially when one remembers, which evidently Mr. Batt does ; not, ■ that there is no litnit now as there was iv the days past. Both Mr. Batt and Mr. Curtis strike a personal note when they accuse ;our traffic 'inspector of hiding and catching people that way. Surely, if there is so much speeding, they should not mind how the offenders are caught, so long as '.they are caught. ' I think it is regrettable that. such criticism should have been made concerning men whom I at all times have found most courteous, fair, and quite capable of doing, their, duty,- whether it:.'.be'--,.on'-;the Hutt Road or anywhere else.—lainA etc., '■''"■■' '■''-- -;-A '"'' ATM.
