REDUCED TARIFFS
FARMERS' MOVE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, March 6. , At a meeting of the Otago provincial ! council of the Farmers' Union a • resolution was passed unanimously calling on the Dominion executive of the union to circulate petitions for reduced tariffs in all, country districts, arid also in cities to furnish evidence, to the Government of the solid "body -of opinion in favour of the lowering uf tariff -walls. . This, it was stated, was regarded as a necessary counter-blast to the pro: paganda which manufacturing interests are distributing through circulars.
