RESULTS OF POST-MORTEM

A sensation followed the announcement of the discovery as the result of a laboratory examination at Dijon of poisons such as cocaine and chloroform, in parts of the viscera of the late M. Prince1, whose body was found on. the railway near Dijon. Other viscera areundergoing examination at Paris. Mystery surrounds the whereabouts of Stavisky's personal papers, none of which were found at his home or offices. • M. Hurleux, Assistant Prosecutor at the Appeal Court, who was involved in. the postponements of the Stavisky case, has been relieved of his position.' Hurleux endeavoured to swallow poison in the- office of the Senior Judge, M. Lescouve, who notified him of his dismissal. The attempt was frustrated. Hurleux was placed under close watch in a nursing home.
