ODDFELLOWS MEET
DISTRICT CONFERENCE
The annual conference for the Wellington district in connection with, the Independent Order of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, was commenced at Pctone- this morning in the Oddf e)lows' Hall. Delegates present were:—District Grand Master Brother W. B. Brown, District Deputy-Grand Master Brother S. V. Gooding, District Secretary Brother E. \V. Guise, Brothers C. G. Turner, Williams, Stewart, and Park (Britannia), G. Reed, Moseley, and Craddock (Antipodean), T. H. Norris (Eose Valley), K. Cropp (Rose Sharon), J. Moriarty (Featherston), W. P. Holt (Johnsonville), C. J. D. Laeey (Carterton), P. M. Smith, H. Preston (Masterton), H. Tilson (Greytown), A: J. B. Foote and W. "Wilson (Petone), B. Farrow (Eketahuna), H. E. Yewen (Pahiatua), A. Smith (Martinborough), Sister McFarlane (Sister Wallis), S. Eades (Newtown), G. -D. Harris (Levin), and C. O. Jorgensen (Kilbirnie). A welcome to the borough was extended by the Mayor of Petone (Mr D. McKenzie). District Grand Master Brother Brown delivered an eloquent address, and it was resolved to print the address with the proceedings. The election of officers resulted as follows:—District Grand Master, Brother S. V. Gooding; District DeputyGrand Master, Brother K. Cropp; management committee, Brothers a' Eippon, G. W. Craddock, W. P. Holt," T. H. Norris, J. L. Stewart, and Sister MeFarlane; treasurer, Brothor G. ~E. Godber; examining and relieving officer' Brother W. H. Madeley; district book examiner-auditor, Brother J. Mellraitharbitration committee, Brother D p' T°o Sb£'-, G- E- Goaber' w- H. Madelevi J. S. Wiloy,'C. J. D. Lacey, C. G. Tuiner, and Barrow. The conference will conclude this afternoon.
