WINNER BY MAORI BOY

Teddy Boy was an interesting winner of the Tuakau Stakes at Pukekohe on Saturday, as he is a bay colt son of that hardy Lucullus horse Maori Boy, who is still racing. He carries the same colours as his sire, those of his breeder, Mr. T. E. Davison, who also owns the jumper Claremore and Lady's Boy. . . Another interesting feature about the win is that Teddy Boy's distaff ancestry, is unknown. It is not often that two-year-old winners are'without a maternal pedigree. Still Teddy Boy evidently comes from a satisfactory strain, as he looks every inch a racehorse, and his Saturday's race proved that he possesses ample courage. • .
