TESTS IN ARITHMETIC
MELBOURNE, March -1. Tests of 40,000 childrcu in 700 ichools in Australia carried out for the Australian Council for Education Re•earch reveal that boys solve arithmetical problems more easily than girls, but that girls are superior in addition. Queensland children show a belter average attainment In arithmetic than children in other States.
