SATURDAY'S RESULTS
Inter-club ijiatclies in four divisions were played at- Miramar on ' Saturday.; The •weather-conditions during the early stages of competition -were overcast and gloomy, but towards the end of the day the matches -were played in bright sunshine. Clear-cut -wins were recorded in all the ifirsfc division men's matches, Wellington A, Brougham Hill A, Newtown, and University A teams all being successful. Brougham- Hill had a fine win, being victorious in all their matches and finishing tvith 16 sets-to 1 and 85 games to 50, against the Wellington B team. Wilkinson and-R.-Howe ••were taken to three sets in their doubles match against Wise and Marchant, but with the exception of this instance, all .the matches were won in straight sets. Wellington A beat Seatoun by seven Matches to one, .14 sets to 5, and 97 games to 63.
