FATAL INJURY

DIVING IN SHALLOW WATER

AUCKLAND, February 27.

Tho death occurred in .the Auckland Hospital of Clive Andrew Browning Lord, who fractured his neck as a result of a bathing accident at Motuihi Island on Sunday. Lord was a single man aged 33, living at Devonport.

The deceased had been swimming not far from the shore, and struck his head on the bottom when diving from ■ a launch into shallow water. He was admitted to hospital in a critical condition.
