PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
Popular Ralph Lynn continues' to draw big audiences and send them into convulsions of laughter, at .the Paramount Theatre in P. G. Wodehouse's smartest farce comedy "Summer Lightning," which is now In the last nights of Its • extended season. The dialogue Is especially smart and witty, while the situations that arise are funny in the- extreme. Ralph Lynn'-has one of those not-such-a-fool-as-he-looks < parts which suits his particular methods to a nicety.: He is thelover , who steals a pig to win his sweetheart. Winifred Shatter, looks after the romance of the play In her own charming manner, and she ts ably seconded by Dorothy Bouchier. Genuine comedy work is contributed by Mile 3 Malllson, as-the butler. Amongst the good short subjects Is "The' St. John Ambulance Centenary Celebrations at London;" . , ;..-" ■', '■" '.'.'-' ■"■ "Rookery Nook!" A revival which has broken records at Melbourne and also at Chrlstehurch is the reissue of the favourite farce VRnokery.
