GIFT OF BARDIC CHAIR

The value of the publicity given to New Zealand by the gift of the Bardic chair to the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales was stressed' on his return from Great Britain by Mr. O. T. Evans, of Wellington. This chair wag offered to the National Eisteddfod Committee by the Welsh people of. the Dominion to commemorate the appointment to New .Zealand of Lord and Lady Bledisloe. It will be competed for by the nation's poets at the 1935 eisteddfod, and Mr. ■ Evans 6aid that tremendous interest in New Zealand had already been created by the announcement of the gift. Tenders will shortly be invited for the construction of the chair.
