ODDFELLOWS' ORDER
MEETING IN WELLINGTON
The biennial conference of the Grand United Order of Oddfellows opened on Saturday at the Masonic Hall, Wellington Terrace.
The delegates present were: Bro. E. McQueen, Bro. Thompson, Wellington District Council; Bro. McKernan, Auckland D.istrict Council; Bros. Conway, Taylor, Ryde, Morgan, Savery, Harnor, Martin, and Patten. ... • .
The visiting delegates were cordially welcomed. Amongst those who attended the conferencewere: Grand Master, Bro. Chorley; Deputy Grand i Master, Bro. Hey; Grand , Treasurer, Bro. Hooper;. Grand Secretary, Bro. Bradstock; Grand Trustees, Bros. Prescott, Murphy, and~Norton. Bro., Chorley, Grand Master, presented his address, which was received, and cordially approved. The Grand Secretary's report, statistics, and . balance-sheet, were received and adopted, congratulations being extended to Bro. Bradstock. Both report and. bal-ance-sheet showed an increase in members and in-financial strength.
The new committee of management was elected as follows:—Grand Master, Bro. P. Hey; Deputy Grand Master, Bro. A. Hooper: Grand Secretary. Bro. V. Bradstock; Grand Treasurer, Bro. A. Chorley; Grand Trustee, Bro. •" R. Norton; Grand Trustee, Bro. J. Prescott; Grand Trustee, Bro. L. Ponder. The conference will be continued today and tomorrow. .
