A TITAHI RECORD
.The', annual meeting o£ the Waiwetu Golf Club was held on Thursday last. There wns au excellent attendance o£ members, which augurs well for the ensuing iea&on. In the absence of the president, the club captain, Mr. B. A. H, Barker, pvesided. lie gave a brief resume of the past season's activities, congratulated tho club ,on the financial position, and outlined the .jnogrammo for this season.
The following officeis were elected for the new season:—President, Mr. U. j?. Pulley; vice-presidents, Mrs. R. C. plik and Mr. E. IV Yaldwin; club captain, Mr. P. A. H. Barker; auditor, Mr. L. Marsden; committee, Messrs. T. J. Harvey, J. B. Wallace,. G. Hatfield, W. Gregory, and JW K. Millwqrd; hon. secretary-treasurer, >Ir. N. O. Maitland.
It was the unanimous decision of those present that a midweek club for men and ladies be formed, as there were many per--Bbns who would like to play in organised golf matches during the week. Mrs. Hatfteld and Mrs. Wilson kindly offered their services in this direction.
The bogey competition at Waiwetu on Saturday was won by D. Johnston, 2 down, with W. ,I'\' Gill and T. J. Harvey 4 -down; and L. Marsden 5 down. T. J. Harvey/ 85, 16—60, and Mrs. Palmer, 105, 86 —69, tied ill the stroke competition. Other.cards were: W. F. Gill, 84, 22—72; L. Marsden, 83, 8—75: W. Gregory, 95, J6-79. ■ -
The1 following scored points in the Summer Cup the last two weekends:—D. Johnston (3), Mrs. G. Palmer (3), W. F. Gill •(4),;T. J., Harvey (2), L. Marbden (1). ' L. Marsden now leacls'in this compctiti6n'with 13 points.
Next weekend a bogey competition will be pl.iyed.
WAIWETU LADIES' CLUB
At ,the annual meeting o£ tho Waiwetu Ladies' Gol£ ClubJield last week the tol,lowing office-bearers were elected for tho ensuing season:—Club captain, Miss M. Kobin&on; committee, Mesdamcs Hatfiold, .Wilson, and Misses Findlay and Cochranc; secretary, Mrs. N. O. Maitland. i
• Mr. 'Barker, '/who presided in'the absence oC the president, congratulated the ladies upon the interest they had taken in tho rlub's welfare during the past season. Mrs. Wilson, the retiring secretary, was commended upon' the manner in which she worked to make tho season successful.
SHANDON CLUB. tn a. bogey competition plajed on Saturday afternoon at 'Shand&n, M. R. Bowring (4) Teturricd the winning- card of 6 up. JR. G., Hay ward '(3) was next, 1 up. 'In the semi-finals of the Summer Cup, T). M. Boyd (8) beat A. Waulen (20), 4 and 2,' and D. M. Wilson (18) beat F. H. 'jVlullms,, 2 and 1.
The official opening ■of the Avinter season takes place on March 10.

M. R. Moore, the Titahi champion, playing in a fourb'all at Titahi yesterday, put in the brilliant card on those tricky'links «£ 67, beating his own record of 71. The lollowing were, the figures:—Out, 432434344 '^31; in, 545523435—36; total, 07.
