WEDDINGS
NICOL—GRAPES. The marriage took place recently at St. Mark's Church, Wellington, of Hmo May, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hi Grapes, Hataitai, to Walter John, only sou of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Nicol, of Tapanui, Otago. The officiating minister was the Rev. N. Robeitshawe, and Mr. Watkins presided at tho organ. Tho bnde, who was escorted by her father, woro a. gown of white Chantilly lace, and her. embroidered tullel v oil w as an anged over a cap of silver sequins; and fiuished with1 a circlet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of carnations, stephanotis, and white swiet peas.
Her attendant, Miss Alison Nicoll (cousin of tho bride) wore a frock.of apple green georgette trimmed' with rows of coffee lace. A smart picture hat. was worn, ; and she carried a bouquet in pale pink tones. The duties, of the best man Were ably carried out by' Mr. Arthur H. Jones, of Wellington.
Only ..very close, relatives • were -afterwards entertained at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. Grapes wore a frock of brown lace with a coatee, and a small hat of brown straw. ' She carried a posy of autumn tints. Sho was assisted by her sister, Mrs. G. S. Nicoll, who wore/a black lace ensemble and straw picture hat to match. Her posy was in, pink tones.
The bride travelled in a blue crinkle crepe frock with blue coat and smart felt hat to match.
