ELECTION OF OFFICERS

The annual conference of the.New Zealand Brass Bands' Association was concluded yesterday after "The Post" went to. press.

The following officers were elected tor the ensuing year:—Patron, his Excellency the Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe); vice-patrons, Dr. H. T J Thacker and Mr. H. D. Bennett: president, Mr, E. Palliser; vice-presidents, Messrs. T. L.. Buick, E. B. Hean, T. f! Hall, A. Wood, N. Lister, and E. Baker; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. G. Osbc-rne;. trustees, Messrs. Pallisor and Osborne; auditors, H. F. Allan and toons; executive committee,. Messrs. C. G. Baker, A. G. .Homer, and E. Billcliff (£outh Island),.W.,P. MacLaehlan, U Patchett, and H. J. Hall (North Island).

Messrs. J. Hunter (Duncdin) and J. Williamson (Auckland) were elected life members of the. association. It was decided that the relationship between the\N,Z.B.B.A-. and the district associations should be reviewed and that definite rules should be adopted setting forth; the powers of the parent and minor associations. ;
