CAPTAIN BUNSBY AS SIRE
An English, visitor to Melbourne a fewmonths a^o w^tnessed the two-year-old tpate at Flemington, and he gave his impiessions to "Hoise and Hound" in a recent issue. Among other things, lie said:—
In the <:econd race eleven started, and a colt by Captain Bunsby (who he is, I eontess I do not know; I muat look him up) won. He is a chestnut, and was noticeable fiom a long way off. Captain Bunsby will be heaid of again. I ha-to now tiaced Captam Bunsby, whose yearling I so much admne. He is as I suessed, by Captain Cuttle, and out of Wet lu&s, the dam of Coronach. Xo wonder this sue begets good-lookeis. I have seen few mole handsome-looking colts than Captain Cuttle, and few'moie commanding, than Coron&ch. The new sire bhouM breed some fine stock in New Zealand. ■* • Cantim Bunsby is at the-Wcstmere Stud ii v"' <Jolln Donald at Wanganm. His oldest i>iog?oy are now two-year-olds. He I t' lree-cluarter brother to Coronach, who. hke Captain Cutt! e> won the Derby
