TRICKLEBANK AGAIN

The match between University and Kilbirnie was notable for another outstanding bowling jcrformancc by Tricklebank. ' This 'was the third Saturday in succession . that this young player . has been in the fore, his/ latest feat being in disposing of-, eight batsmen for the small total of 41 runs. Bowling with the wind he was unsuccessful in obtaining wickets, but immediately on changing over, his attack completely routed the institute batsmen.

.Henderson, the well-known institute left-hander, was in good form against University and, as is often the case, ho deserved better success. Several chances t were missed, although, those that were held by Tucker at second slip and by Hankins behind the wickets were both fine pieces of work. With proper support from the field, Henderson would sho*\r much better results.

Allan McLean was also another trundler who proved troublesome to the 'Varsity batsmen. A notable absentee from the Institute side-was McKeowen, a bowler who promises well. .

Paetz (University) showed good batting form in making' 30 in forty-five minutes.- His score, which included a beautiful 6, was attained by hard and well-timed hitting. Osborn, who can. usually be relied'upon to put on runs, had a'day off, along with others.

It seemed that had Institute made better use of their bowling, they would have dismissed University for less than a century.
