RAILWAY REVENUE
CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT
Better business is shown by the financial results of the railway operations up to February 3, announced today by Mr. H. H. Sterling, chairman of the Eailways Board. '
For the four-weekly period ■which ended on I;hat date, he said,.revenue increased by £37,862, while expenditure increased by only £17,316, leaving an increase in net revenue- for tho fourweekly period of £20,546 as compared with the corresponding period of last year. For the portion, of the financial year from April 1, 1933, to February 3, 1934, revenue showed an increase of £202,103 and expenditure a decrease of £21,706, leaving an increase in net revenue of £223,869 for that portion.of the financial year,. as compared with tho corresponding portion of the previous financial year;
