EAST COAST SALES (By Telegraph.— Press Association.J HASTINGS, February 22. The wool cheque for the three sales soi far this season cove-ring Hawke's Bay and Poverty Hay amounts to £1,140,750. The corresponding total was £432,'J!)2 for thefirst three sales last season. Ihese figures apply only to wool sold under the hammer, nnd in thin' Connection, it should be noted that at the sales, particularly that on Tuesday last, a considerable quantity of p.isboil-in wool has subsequently been sold by private negotiation.
