Coates) "today. • "When, early last month, I made a statement respecting the report of the Tariff Commission, I indicated that it was then too early to fix a date upon which tho report would bo received, and the time within which the report was duo was' extended to . February 28," said Mr. Coates. . . "I have discussed tho matter with the chairman of the Commission, and he advises me that tho work cannot be completed on that date owing to the difficulty of obtaining accurate information, and the amount of detailed work involved. "It is now hoped that the report will bo completed by the end of March, and it has been decided to extend the period for reporting accordingly."
