DRIFTING ICEFIELD
CHEUUSKIN'S CASTAWAYS PLAN FOR RESCUE BY 'PLANE MOSCOW; February 22. The icefield on which is the Cheliuskin's party has drifted 17 miles to the north-east in eight days. All are well and discipline is excellent. Tho steamer Stalingrad arrives at Petropavlosk tomorrow with, two aeroplanes and goes to the northernmost point in the Bering Sea, whence the aeroplanes will fly to Cape Wellea.
