WEEKEND EXCURSION
The Railway Department announces the running of a weekend excursion to Auckland, Rotorua. and Te Arqba, leaving Wellington next Friday afternoon, and returning on the Sunday afternoon, with fares at about half the.ordinary rate. Rotorua will be in full carnival sway on Saturday. The programme includes the Auckland provincial rowing championships on Lake Rotorua, a mimic Maori tribal wai*, Maori cooking iii earth ovens, swimming carnival In the new Blue Baths, Maori- regatta and aquatic spoils, and special sightseeing tripe to many of the numerous thermal wonrtcr.'.
