DEATH OF AN AGED MAORI

GISBORNE, This Day.
Tho death is reported of Nopera Kiwi, a Maori resident of Wainui, credited with being well over a hundred years of age. He was on active service against the Hanhaus in 1865, and later against Te Kooti's rebels from 1868 onwards.
