Reconstruction of thij oil tankers' wharf at Lyttelton Is work that will start this month, and the cost will be approximately £35,000. The new wharf will be 664 ft in length as against the, 400 ft .of; the .present wharf. The Ironbark timber Imported .from Australia' for the work has arrived at Lyttelon. Tho new wharf will be of the skeleton type, so that it will bo decked only 'at Intervals from the sea end to the shore and the decking will be of single thickness. The cattle jetty lying nearby will not bo interfered with by the'construction of the tankers' wlurf. The breastwork ' reconstruction is now nearly completed, and the decking Is now being put down.. PENSILVA FROM NAURU. The steamer Pens'lva lcft^ Nauru Island on January 4 with .7300 tons of phosphates for discharge at New Plymouth and Wanganul. Sho is duo at New Plymouth about January 16.
