The bookings for {he weekend train excursion to Hawke's Bay were well up to expectations. When the train left Thorndon at 12.55 p.m. on Saturday there were over 100 people aboard, and the number had increased to 150 when the train left I'almerston North. The main body of excusionists returned by ii special train, which-left Napier at 5 p.m. yesterday. Oir both journeys the trains ran well to time-table, aiid altogether the excursion was very Successful.
