LYALL BAY SURF CLUB

The Lyall Bay Life-saving and Surf Club held the first o£ a series of club races at Te Aro Baths last night. There was a good muster of swimmers, and excellent racing was seen. The first race (of 50 yards), for the Perritt Cup, resulted in a win for J. Williams, after a hard-fought contest. N. Lincoln and G. Williams, close together, were second and third respectively. The time was 27sec. Water polo practice between the A. and B teams was also held. The next polo practice and race are to be held next Wednesday.
