BAPTIST SUNDAY SCHOOL

. Special services in connection with the twenty-ninth anniversary of the Island :Bay Baptist Sunday School were, held last Sunday. The preacher in the morning was the Rev. E. N. Goring (Brooklyn Baptist), the afternoon service was conducted by the Rev. W. R. Milne (St. James's Presbyterian), and the pastor of the church (the Uev. C. B. Boggis), took the evening service. The attendances were •good ■throughout the day. In addition, to the. above services, the scholars of the primary department iiiKler the leadership of Miss Gunn gave a demonstration of their method of work in the/school hall. There was a large attendance of parents. The scholars, seated on a specially constructed platform over the rostrum, gave an excellent rendering of the anniversaryhymns. Mr. H. E. Wilson conducted, and Miss McHutchon presided at the organ aud piano. On the following Tuesday the annual prize-giving and concert were held jn tho Masonic Hall. The Rev. C. B. Boggis presided. Mr. H. M. Palmer (secretary) presented,' the annual report. An increase in the number of scholars was noted, and the financial statement showed a small credit balance. A miscellaneous programme of musical and elocutionary items was rendered by the scholars, and members of allied organisations contributed to the function.
