A FEAST OF MUSIC.
The Wellington Symphony Orchestra concert (o be given tonight in the Town Hall, with Mr. Andersen Tyrer, the world-famous'pianist, and his wife, Nanette de Lornay, the celebrated violinist, promises to be an outstanding event in the unnols of music in Wellington. Seldom before has such a programme been presented to the public of this city. Though not so well known in New Zealand these two artists are giants in the music world of England, and Wellington Is fortunate to hear them playing with a full symphony orchestra. They havo played with all the leading orchestras in England under the batons of Britain's foremost conductors. , Mr. Tyrer is himself a flne conductor, and he has consented, on tho occasion of the concert tonight, to conduct the Wellington Symphony Orchestra.. Tonight will be his seventy-eighth performance of the Tchaikowsky Concerto in public. Mr. Tyrer ■. and his wifo have played to packed houses all-over the world, and have received some wonderful ovations, and on this their first visit to New Zealand the executive of the Symphony Orchestra hope that the Wellington public will show Its appreciation' of two such outstanding musicians.
