REFUNDS OF PETROL DUTY
Some doubt exists amongst farmers regarding refunds of duty.'■■ on motor spirits. Farmers are entitled to obtain refunds of duty on motor 'spirits i^sed for any purpose other than as fuel for motor vehicles wliicli are.required to Ido licensed in terms of the Motor Vehicles Act. Owners of milking machines, shearing machines, stationary engines (used for pumping water, cutting chaff, etc.), agricultural tractors (not. used on roads for haulage purposes), launches, lighting, arid heating plants are entitled to a refund. Farmers' -who use petrol for burning ragwort are also, entitled to'a refund. ■ V .
