SERVICE TO DOMINION
FIRST SHIP ARRIVES
An interesting arrival in Wellington this morning was the 11,449-ton motor-, ship Tuscan' Star, which is now coin-, dieting, loading the inaugural ship-: ment of refrigerated produce for- the Blue Star Line's new cargo service between New Zealand and Groat Britain. The ship i$ a-very fine type, of modern cargo carrier, having been built in 1929-30 for the chilled-beef trade between England and the Argentine. ' The Tuscan Star,is capable of doing 17 knots in service when n-ecessary. The trip between New Zealand and Great Britain could therefore be done in 29 days without difficulty. Her cargo is carried In ■ six holds/all insulated throughout and varying in depth and the number.-of decks. On the present trip the Tuscan Star is loading cheese, butter, dried milk, pork, and beef, and she will be full when she leaves Wellington on - Saturday for London. .
