THAMES RESOLUTION

At a representative public meeting convened by the Thames Unemployed Association last night there was a large attendance, the Mayor (Mr. S.
presiding. ■ ■ • • The meeting was addressed by the Mayor and local ministers, and a resolution was passed protesting strongly against any projected settlement of married men in camps. Tho meeting was emphatic that compulsion was against. the moral and economic welfare of tho people of the Dominion, and called upon the Government, through the Unemployment Board, to -withdraw the compulsory transfer of married men into camps in any part-of the country.
