The :. Gisborne horses Ga/iusfid ' and Kahunoke, who are to race at the Waikato Racing Club's Meeting at Te.Rapa, are makingf the trip overland and were booked td leave early in the week in charge of their trainer, D. M. Ducker, the intention being to break the journey at Opotiki. v

Gainsfid is a five-year-old gelding by Gainseourt irom Actifid. At the Poverty Bay Meeting last month he won the Spring Handicap, lM miles, with 7.9, in 2min 8 4-osec, and ran second to Merry Damon, 8.8, in the Makaraka Handicap, one mile, carrying 8.4, and being beaten by a quarter of a length in lmin 42aec. Kahunoke is a six-year-old gelding by Cynic from High Degree, and he was also successful, at the Poverty Bay Meeting, winning the October Hack Handicap, one niile/witK 7.13, in lmin 43 l-ssec.
