SENTENCES AT WANGANUI

WANGANTJI, This Day.
In the Supreme Court this morning Mr. Justice Reed sentenced John Lister to two years' hard labour for indecent assault on a Maori girl of three years of age. Harold Peace White, on four charges of forgery and two charges of obtaining money by false pretences whilo ho was postmaster at Pipiriki, was admitted to probation for two years and was ordered to pay tho costs of the proseeutiog, , .
