IMPROVEMENTS IN DESIGN

LONDON, October 24.

In the presence of Sir Percy Mackinnon, chairman of Lloyds, the new Pander mail aeroplane was demonstrated, says the Amsterdam correspondent of "The Times."

The machine possesses a new style of tail, which faoilitatea landing, and can be pulled up while in .flight, with special air brakes. Its cruising speed is 200 miles, and its maximum speed 220 miles an hour. It will convey mails from Holland to Java in four days, commencing in November.
